PONDICHERRY
– FRENCH COLONY:
Two hundred years of French influence has had a tremendous impact on
Pondicherry. This quaint, charming town of French Colony Pondicherry is
renowned for its delectable food and mesmerizing beaches. The spectacular
French architecture gives you the feeling as if you have landed in Bordeaux or
Montpellier. The White Town area of this town is referred to as the French
Quarter. Most of the structures are colonial buildings and were built during
the French rule in the Indian subcontinent.
Now referred to as Puducherry or just as Pondy, this little town is one
of the union territories of the Indian subcontinent. It is popular as the
French Riviera of the East.
MUDUMALAI
– ANCIENT HILLS : Nestled amidst the Nilgiri Hills in Tamil
Nadu, Mudumalai is a part of the greater Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. It is one
of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in South India. The name Mudumalai
stands for the ancient hill range that descends down to the Mysore plateau and
contiguous with Bandipur forest reserve, which gives it wider access to
elephants and gaurs. The approach to the sanctuary from Ooty is spectacular,
twisting, and turning down 36 hairpin bends through wooded hills and past
waterfalls.
DHANUSHKODI
– BEAUTIFUL ABANDONED TOWN:
Dhanushkodi is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India.[1] It is south-east of Pamban and is about 24 kilometres (15 mi) west
of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath. Today only a
few vendors and restaurants can be seen at Dhanushkodi during the day along
with the ruins of the long destroyed town.
HOGENAKKAL
– GORGEOUS WATERFALLS. It is sometimes
referred to as the "Niagara Falls of India," it is known for bathing areas and hired boat rides and as a
major tourist attraction. Carbonatite rocks in this site are considered to
be the oldest of its kind in South Asia and one of the oldest in the world.
TUTICORIN
– STUNNING BEACHES. :
There are two beaches in
Tuticorin, Harbor beach and Roach beach, which gives you the amazing view of
both sunrise and sunset. At night times, it is a treat for your eye to see the
Tuticorin Harbor from the seashore. Pearl beach (Muthu Nagar Beach) is one of
the less known beaches in Tuticorin.
KANYAKUMARI
– SOUTHERNMOST TIP OF INDIA :
A popular tourist destination in India, it is famous for its unique ocean sunrise, sunset and moonrise,
the 41-metre (133 ft) Thiruvalluvar Statue and Vivekananda Rock Memorial off the coast, and as a pilgrimage centre. Kanyakumari
is the land of Goddess
Parvati and bears witness to the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea
and the Indian Ocean. Also known as Cape Comorin, Kanyakumari is held
in high regards by the Hindus owing to its scared temples. One of the main
attractions in Kanyakumari is the Kumari Amman Temple.
TRICHY
– HISTORICAL TEMPLES :
Tiruchirappalli, commonly known as Trichy, is
said to be the geographical centre of Tamil Nadu. Trichy is designated as the

VELLORE
– THE FORT CITY :
Vellore Fort is a large 16th-century fort
situated in heart of the Vellore city, in the state of Tamil Nadu, India built
by Vijayanagara kings. The fort was at one time the headquarters of the Aravidu
Dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire. The fort is known for its grand ramparts, wide moat and robust masonry.
